Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we are able to do the important work that we do at Choose Hope Women’s Center

baby bottle filled with moneyA Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign is a simple and very effective fundraiser that can be organized by groups of any size. For this service project, Choose Hope Women’s Center provides the groups with baby bottles, which people can fill up with loose change, paper money, or checks. It is amazing how small donations by individuals add up to an amount that can make a big difference!

For instance, St. Margaret Church in Bel Air has been a faithful supporter of Choose Hope Women’s Center for many years. During Lent for the past few years, the church has held a 40-Day Baby Bottle Boomerang. This year parishioners raised over $19,000! This service project has made it possible for Choose Hope Women’s Center to hire a third part-time staff member, which allows us to serve our clients and do much-needed outreach in the community, while also keeping the office running efficiently.

We are so grateful to the parishioners of St. Margaret Church and to all of our donors! Please contact the office today if you or your organization is interested in holding a Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign. Kids, teens and adults can easily serve others in our community using this simple but very impactful project.

How is my financial donation used?

Money that is donated may be used for operational costs that enable us to have a welcoming and safe place for a woman or family in a crisis situation. It also supports a 24 hour hotline, located in Atlanta, Georgia, staffed by training Choose Hope Women’s Center volunteers.

Donated money is used to staff our office. Choose Hope Women’s Center is staffed by three part time employees: Stephanie Atha as Executive Director, Gina Gibson as Assistant Director, and Elyse Colao as Center Coordinator. Stephanie, Gina and Elyse make sure that all details inside and outside of the office are taken care of, so that our volunteers are equipped and trained to work with our clients. Choose Hope Women’s Center’s volunteers, with guidance and support, do the invaluable work of empowering, mentoring, educating, and loving our numerous clients.

Money donated is used to reach new clients. We recently have been working on redesigning our brochures, business cards, social media and website to appeal more to teens. We can only help women if they know we are here. Spreading the word is an important part of outreach.

Money donated to Choose Hope Women’s Center remains at our center with the purpose of helping those in our community.
